FAITH ROOM

Troubled Heart

Heart, what troubles you?

Are you hurting? Do you feel betrayed and abandoned?

Heart, what troubles you?

Do you think you have failed? Do you feel inadequate?

Heart, what troubles you?

Have you gone back to your vomit?

Did you fall into that temptation again?

Did that addiction get the best of you this week?

Heart, what troubles you?

Are you disappointed because the deal did not pull through?

Heart, what troubles you?

Did the promise not show forth?

Heart, what troubles you?

Did something or someone steals your smile?

Heart, what troubles you?

Did you experience a heart tear?

Heart, what troubles you?

Did you chicken out and now regret your action?

Heart, what troubles you?

You don’t feel like a champion anymore?

Heart, what troubles you?

Is it a trigger? A crisis? Trauma?

Heart, what troubles you?

Your past? Or your future?

Heart, what troubles you?

Are you contemplating an end to it all?

Have you forgotten what the scripture says, when my heart fails, God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever ( Psalm 73:26

As humans, it is okay to admit how broken we are in body and spirit; but this isn’t the end of the story because we have a God who loves to fix the broken. So, heart, I ask that you don’t throw in the towel just yet.

Much love and light. *Wink.

When I first read this article, A scripture comes to mind, how God encouraged me when my heart was troubled and discouraged and couldn’t place why. It’s in psalm 42:5-6 , it says Fix your eyes on God, Soon you will be praising again. He will put a smile on your face. He’s my God.
When my soul is in the dumps, the psalmist said I will rehearse everything I know of you, MSG
