FAITH ROOM

“Suicide*

This has been on my mind for weeks, and has changed my mode of thanksgiving and gratitude. There is an increase in my degree of worship, praise and thanks. I have received a fresh “goodly great boost” to keep forging ahead, as I move forward. Sincerely, I can’t count how many times this pops up in my head in a day.

Dee! What exactly are you talking about?

What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have Him, this Father of our Master Jesus! BECAUSE JESUS WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD, WE’VE BEEN GIVEN A BRAND-NEW LIFE AND HAVE EVERYTHING TO LIVE FOR, INCLUDING A FUTURE IN HEAVEN — AND THE FUTURE STARTS NOW! (1peter 1: 3-5 MSG)

Lovely guests, that right there is my “freshly-good-boost.”

I, DEEAMI, HAVE BEEN GIVEN A BRAND-NEW LIFE IN WHICH I HAVE EVERYTHING TO LIVE FOR, INCLUDING A FUTURE IN HEAVEN. PRAISE UNTO YOU MY GOD!!! YOU ARE MY JOY FOREVER! AND BEST OF ALL, MY SALVATION.

This truth has struck me beyond and above cloud nine. And I am loving it right here, every morsel. My heart smiles without bounds, every time this scripture whispers each word to me. The very first time I REALLY read (I’ve seen and read it more than once before, but not paused to actually digest it) this scripture, I said to myself. Suicide, you realize why you cannot be an option, ever? Not sure why the question came, but it did. And amidst other self-asked questions and deliberations, this one stood out.

Then I paused, just thinking about it.  People commit suicide for many reasons. Based on my line of work, I see, read, and get word about different cases @ factual reasons or not, why people admit that as an option: Depression, anxiety, heartbreak, disappointment, betrayal, loss of a loved one, abuse, failed marriage, hopelessness, abandonment, sudden lose of wealth and reputation, low self-esteem, blackmail, medical issues, the list is endless.

Note: I do not take lightly the above cited and it struggles — for I recognize they are an everyday real issue, being experienced by everyday real people, who desperately need real help. Real help/treatment they should be getting, professionally.

In that moment of recognition this came to me.  Jesus said. “You’re off base, and here’s why: One, you don’t know your Bibles; two, you don’t know how God works. (Mark 12:24)

Getting off base in this case (suicide) simply means, the one who decides to make good of that option does not know his Bible and as such can’t understand how God operates. Clueless to what He’s done for him and His wonderful plans carefully written for him to explore.

This is straight up math. How do you know about God when you ignore His word? That just sums everything up, what Jesus said. Does it not?

Isn’t it when I study the Bible, I find, thou shall not kill? Yes, it is. The God who says I shouldn’t kill another, do you imagine he’ll approve the killing of myself?

Someone might say, “if you are here implying that only non-Christians commit that act, you are incorrect. I know Christians who have ended their lives (so it’s not just the ungodly) and, I am sure they read their Bibles at some point.”

Please can you do me a quick favor? Scroll up a bit and read again the line where I stated…, “The first time I REALLY read this scripture…”  Have you done that yet? If yes, then great! Let’s move right along, then, shall we?

This, in essence, only goes to prove that although the Word is powerful to strongly pass a message to me, touch my life, and transform me forever. “I must be willing with an open heart to respond to what He says.” I must come to that point where, I really read, study, digest, accept, and consent. Then the Word conditions my heart enough to take complete charge and control over me (Not in a slavery kind of way but, an introduction to right freedom and dominion).

So does this mean suicide rate will drastically decrease amongst some folks who go to church, and the world at large if each individual truly take and accept God’s word as the only absolute truth? Yes, yes and again yes!

Think about it for a minute with me. He already died for you, so you live. Today He lives for you to enjoy the beautiful life He paid for. Why deprive yourself of living this fully-and-free-paid-for-life by terminating it? Do you even have the right to end it? You couldn’t have been able to feed yourself life, could you? (Christians and non-Christians alike). The Almighty creator, freely gave you this life as a gift.

‘’So shouldn’t you out of courtesy (if not love and respect) let Him decide when you exit?’’

Call me an irrationally insensitive young lady and more, no offense taken in advance . I will never consent to whatever form of suicide. (Not even with medical approval @suggestive advise). Once it’s not a natural end, It is suicide.

Let me tackle this real quick. “Do you know that when you give up on life and yourself, that’s another form of suicide? Actually, thinking about it, yes it is. It’s called the suicide of purpose, vision, dream fulfillment, name it. And then the real sad part is, You deprive yourself and the world of enjoying the blessing God made you, in the first place.”

Phew! So there, it’s off my chest.

My decision is very simple. I continue to enjoy my truth based on the Word. One which says, I have everything to live for, because it’s the absolute accuracy.  Oh, and that part about a hereafter in Heaven? That is also absolutely true. Remember what Jesus said, “Don’t let this throw you. You trust God, don’t you? Trust me. There is plenty of room for you in my Father’s home. If that weren’t so, would I have told you that I’m on my way to get a room ready for you? And if I’m on my way to get your room ready, I’ll come back and get you so you can live where I live. And you already know the road I’m taking.” (John 14:1-4)

Oh blessed assurance! Jesus is mine, and I am His.

Yes, we will be confronted with all sorts. He said so Himself. He said, “I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” (John 16:33)  Be of good cheer I have overcome the world. (King James)

I believe you, Jesus!!!

This is enough good boost for me to continue on fighting the good fight of faith, regardless of what life hurls at me. ( Search the scripture for many more healthy freely good boosts??)

The Holy Scripture of God makes it absolutely clear, that I am not at the mercy of what life hands down to me. For I am from above and not below. Every God-begotten person conquers the world ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s way is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God. (1John 5:4-5)

I believe, that I am God-begotten in Christ Jesus. Thus, I live by the faith of the son of God who loved me and died for me. (Galatians 2:20)

Thank you Jesus, my Lord and love!!! I have everything to live for in you! Woah oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh!

Thank you sweet Holy Spirit, for in your love you drove this home (the real digestion of this truth), that beautiful day. I have learnt and still I learn on, that, with you this journey gets better and brighter.

This boost will last me forever!

All hail King Jesus!!!!!! Hail and ???????????? with me. Let’s celebrate the good GOD. The Messiah, The Christ, who is God over everything! *Wink
