Song For The Day: I Hope You Dance – Lee Ann Womack

16 years ago, when this song was released, I am certain it meant something deep to Lee Ann. My certainty is established upon the delivery of each word, and its meaning. The spousal relationship between the words and daily life, connects perfectly.
Each Line cuts deep with a level of simplicity and vividness.

Makes solid DeeAmi sense; which causes this song to be forever fresh in my heart

I can’t get past these lines;
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance,
When you come close to sellin’ out reconsider,
Don’t let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance,
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance,
I hope you dance.

In life, a lot is thrown at us on a daily basis, hard core issues. That acknowledged. Even so, now more than ever, I REALLY DO HOPE WE NEVER STOP DANCING.
